IPTV Has Picture but No Sound

IPTV Has Picture but No Sound

If your IPTV channel, movie or episode shows a picture but you cannot hear any audio, the issue may be related to the selected audio track, your IPTV player, device audio settings, television output or the individual stream.

Follow the steps below to troubleshoot audio problems with Alakh IPTV.

Start Here — Try Another Channel

Before changing any settings, test at least 3–5 different channels or several Movies / Series titles.

If only one channel or title has no sound while everything else works normally, the issue may be limited to that particular stream.

What Type of Audio Problem Do You Have?

What Happens What It May Indicate
One channel has no sound The issue may be limited to that stream or audio track.
All IPTV content has no sound Check device, TV and player audio settings.
Sound works in other apps but not IPTV Check the IPTV player or audio codec/track.
IPTV works in another player The original player's audio configuration may be involved.
Audio is delayed or out of sync Player synchronization or device processing may be involved.

Step 1 — Check the Volume

Start with the simplest checks.

  • Increase the television volume.
  • Check the streaming device volume if it has a separate control.
  • Make sure the TV is not muted.
  • Make sure the IPTV player itself is not muted.
  • Check connected speakers or soundbars.
Useful test: Open another app on the same device. If that app also has no sound, the problem is more likely related to your device, TV or audio equipment.

Step 2 — Try Another Channel or Title

Test several different channels, movies or episodes.

Example:

Channel A → Picture but no sound
Channel B → Picture and sound work
Channel C → Picture and sound work

In this example, the problem is likely limited to Channel A.

Step 3 — Check the Audio Track

Some channels, movies and series include more than one audio track.

Inside your IPTV player, look for:

  • Audio Track
  • Audio Language
  • Track Selection
  • Audio Options
  • Languages

Try another available audio track.

Tip: A stream may contain multiple languages or an audio track that your current device/player does not handle correctly. Testing another track can solve the issue immediately.

Step 4 — Restart the IPTV Player

  1. Close the IPTV application completely.
  2. Wait a few seconds.
  3. Open the application again.
  4. Try the affected stream.
  5. Test another channel as well.

Step 5 — Restart Your Device

Restart your TV or streaming device.

This may include:

  • Amazon Firestick / Fire TV
  • Android TV / Google TV
  • Android TV Box
  • Samsung Smart TV
  • LG Smart TV
  • Apple TV
  • Phone or tablet
  • Windows PC or Mac

A restart can reset temporary audio-output and decoding problems.

Step 6 — Check the Device Audio Output

Make sure your device is sending audio to the correct output.

For example, audio may accidentally be routed to:

  • Bluetooth headphones
  • Bluetooth speaker
  • Soundbar
  • AV receiver
  • HDMI audio device
  • Computer headphones instead of speakers
Quick test: Disconnect Bluetooth audio devices temporarily and test using your TV/device speakers.

Step 7 — Check HDMI / Soundbar Connections

If you use a Firestick, Android box, Apple TV, soundbar or AV receiver, check the HDMI connections.

  1. Turn off the TV and streaming device.
  2. Check that HDMI cables are properly connected.
  3. Restart the TV and streaming device.
  4. Test audio again.
  5. If possible, test without the soundbar/receiver temporarily.

Step 8 — Check Audio Format Settings

Some TVs and streaming devices allow you to choose an audio output format.

Options may include:

  • Auto
  • PCM
  • Dolby Digital
  • Dolby Digital Plus
  • Passthrough

If IPTV has no sound but other content works, test another supported audio-output setting.

Recommendation: Change only one audio setting at a time and remember the original value. Device menus and supported formats vary.

Step 9 — Try Another IPTV Player

Another compatible IPTV player can help determine whether the problem is app-specific.

Example:

Player A → Video works but no audio

Player B → Same stream has normal audio

This suggests Player A's audio decoder or playback settings may be causing the issue.

Step 10 — Try Another Player / Decoder Option

Some IPTV applications provide playback-engine or decoder settings.

You may see:

  • Internal Player
  • External Player
  • Hardware Decoder
  • Software Decoder

If available, test another option and check whether audio starts working.

Test with VLC on Windows or Mac

If you have an Alakh IPTV M3U URL, you can test the same stream in VLC.

If VLC produces audio but your normal player does not, this is useful evidence that the original player or its audio configuration may be the cause.

Step 11 — Update Your IPTV Player

Check the official app store or player developer for an available update.

Updates can include audio decoding and compatibility fixes.

Step 12 — Update Your Device

If appropriate updates are available, update your TV or streaming device software.

This is particularly useful if audio problems began after updating the IPTV application.

Step 13 — Clear the IPTV Player Cache

On supported devices, clear the IPTV player's cache and restart the application.

Be careful: Do not select Clear Data unless you have your IPTV login details available. Clearing data can remove saved accounts and playlists.

Picture and Sound Are Out of Sync

If you can hear audio but it is ahead of or behind the picture:

  1. Try another channel.
  2. Restart the IPTV player.
  3. Restart your device.
  4. Check whether your player offers Audio Delay / Sync settings.
  5. Test the same stream in another player.
  6. If only one channel or title is affected, report it to support.

No Sound on Samsung or LG Smart TV

If you are using an IPTV player directly on a Smart TV:

  1. Try several different channels.
  2. Check TV volume and mute.
  3. Check the TV's sound output device.
  4. Try another audio track if available.
  5. Restart the television.
  6. Update the IPTV player and TV software where available.
  7. Try another compatible IPTV player.

No Sound on Firestick / Fire TV

  1. Restart the Fire TV device.
  2. Check TV and soundbar volume.
  3. Test another IPTV player.
  4. Try another audio track.
  5. Check Fire TV audio settings.
  6. Test another HDMI port or direct TV connection if audio equipment is involved.

Only One Channel, Movie or Episode Has No Sound

If everything else has normal audio, avoid changing all of your device settings.

  1. Try another audio track.
  2. Refresh your playlist.
  3. Try the same content in another player.
  4. Retry after a short period.
  5. Report the exact content name if the problem continues.

Do I Need a VPN for a No-Sound Problem?

Usually Not

A picture-with-no-sound problem is usually more likely to involve an audio track, decoder, player or device setting than your network.

Test audio settings and another IPTV player before considering network or VPN troubleshooting.
