Set Up a Portal or MAC-Based IPTV Player
Some IPTV players do not ask you to enter a username and password directly on the TV. Instead, they display a MAC address, Device ID or Device Key.
You then use the IPTV player's official management website to attach your Alakh IPTV playlist or Portal/DNS information to that device.
Important: Player Portal vs Alakh IPTV Portal
These are two different things.
- Player management website: Operated by the IPTV player developer and used to register your device or playlist.
- Alakh IPTV Portal / DNS URL: The IPTV service server address supplied in your Alakh IPTV activation email.
What You Need
- An active Alakh IPTV subscription
- Your Alakh IPTV activation/welcome email
- A compatible portal or MAC-based IPTV player
- The MAC address or Device ID shown inside the player
- The Device Key if the player provides one
- Your Alakh IPTV M3U URL or Portal/DNS details
- A phone, tablet or computer for accessing the player's management website
Portal / MAC Setup Instructions
1 Install a Compatible IPTV Player
Open your device's official app store and install a compatible IPTV player.
Portal/MAC-based setup is common with some Smart TV and set-top-box players.
2 Open the Player and Find the Device Details
Open the IPTV player. On the first screen or inside its settings, it may show one or more of the following:
- MAC Address
- Device ID
- Device Key
- Activation Code
- Playlist Management URL
3 Open the Player's Official Management Website
Using a phone, tablet or computer, open the exact management URL shown by the IPTV player.
4 Enter the Device Information
The management page may ask for:
| MAC / Device ID | Enter exactly as displayed by the IPTV player |
| Device Key | Enter only if the player requires it |
| Playlist Name | Alakh IPTV |
Check every character carefully before continuing.
5 Add Your Alakh IPTV Playlist
The player management website may support one or more setup methods.
M3U Method
If the management page asks for an M3U playlist URL, enter the complete M3U URL supplied in your Alakh IPTV activation email.
Portal / Server Method
If it supports a Portal, DNS or Server URL, enter the Alakh IPTV Portal/DNS details exactly as provided.
6 Save the Playlist
Select the Save, Add, Upload or Submit option on the player's management page.
Wait for the website to confirm that the playlist or portal details were saved successfully.
7 Refresh the IPTV Player
Return to your television or streaming device.
Inside the IPTV player, look for an option such as:
- Refresh
- Reload Playlist
- Update
- Sync
If there is no refresh option, completely close and reopen the IPTV player.
8 Wait for Your Content to Load
Once the player synchronises successfully, it may display:
- Live TV
- Movies / VOD
- Series
- TV Guide / EPG
Does the IPTV Player Require Activation?
Some third-party IPTV players provide a free trial and later charge a one-time or recurring activation fee.
Any player-app activation fee is charged by the player developer and is separate from your Alakh IPTV subscription.
Keep Your Device Information Private
Do not publicly share:
- Your M3U URL
- Your IPTV username or password
- Your Device Key
- Private playlist-management credentials
Playlist Not Appearing?
- Confirm the MAC / Device ID was entered correctly.
- Confirm the Device Key if your player requires one.
- Check that the full M3U or Portal URL was saved correctly.
- Refresh or restart the IPTV player.
- Restart the television or streaming device.
- Check that your Alakh IPTV subscription is active.
- If possible, try your Alakh IPTV credentials in another compatible player to confirm that the service itself is working.
Player Management Website Not Working?
The playlist management website is operated by the IPTV player developer, not Alakh IPTV.
If that website is unavailable or rejects the Device ID, check the player's official support information or try another compatible IPTV player.
Multiple TVs and Connection Limits
Registering your Alakh IPTV playlist on multiple compatible devices is not the same as having multiple simultaneous streams.
The number of devices that can stream at the same time depends on the connection count included with your Alakh IPTV plan.
Need Help with Portal or MAC Setup?
If your Alakh IPTV service works in another player but you cannot add it to a MAC-based player, please tell us the device model and IPTV player name.
Do not send your full password or M3U URL in a public message.
