IPTV Works on Mobile Data but Not Wi-Fi
If Alakh IPTV works on mobile data or a mobile hotspot but does not work on your normal home Wi-Fi, this is an important troubleshooting clue.
In many cases, this means your IPTV login and device are working, while the problem may be related to your home router, DNS settings, ISP routing, network filtering or another issue specific to your normal internet connection.
Why This Test Is Useful
If the same device, same IPTV player and same Alakh IPTV login work on a mobile hotspot but fail on home Wi-Fi, the difference between the two networks becomes the main area to investigate.
Step 1 — Confirm the Network Test
Use the same device and IPTV player for both tests whenever possible.
| Test | Result |
|---|---|
| Home Wi-Fi | IPTV does not load / login / play |
| Mobile Hotspot | IPTV works normally |
If you get this result repeatedly, continue with the checks below.
Step 2 — Restart Your Home Router
Start with a full router restart.
- Turn off or unplug the router.
- Wait approximately 30–60 seconds.
- Turn the router back on.
- Wait until the internet connection is fully restored.
- Reconnect your IPTV device to Wi-Fi.
- Test Alakh IPTV again.
Step 3 — Restart Your IPTV Device
After restarting the router, restart your IPTV device as well.
This may include:
- Firestick / Fire TV
- Android TV / Google TV
- Android TV Box
- Samsung Smart TV
- LG Smart TV
- Apple TV
- Phone or tablet
- Windows PC or Mac
Step 4 — Forget and Reconnect to Wi-Fi
On devices that support it, remove the saved Wi-Fi network and reconnect.
- Open your device Wi-Fi settings.
- Select your home network.
- Choose Forget Network.
- Reconnect using your Wi-Fi password.
- Open your IPTV player and test again.
Step 5 — Confirm Normal Internet Works on Wi-Fi
While connected to your home Wi-Fi, check whether other internet services work normally.
Test:
- A normal website
- A video-streaming app
- An app store
- Another internet-connected application
Step 6 — Try Another IPTV Player
Test the same Alakh IPTV account in another compatible player while still connected to home Wi-Fi.
Player A on Wi-Fi → Does not work
Player B on Wi-Fi → Works normally
In this case, the problem may be related to Player A rather than your home network.
Step 7 — Check Router Security or Filtering
Some routers, ISP-provided gateways and network-security services include filtering features.
Depending on your equipment, these may be called:
- Parental Controls
- Safe Browsing
- Web Protection
- Threat Protection
- Content Filtering
- Firewall
- Access Control
Step 8 — Test a Different DNS Resolver
In some network situations, DNS resolution can differ between your mobile provider and home ISP.
If you are comfortable changing network settings, you can temporarily test a reputable public DNS resolver on your device or router.
Step 9 — Try Ethernet
If your streaming device supports Ethernet, test a wired connection.
This can help separate a Wi-Fi problem from a broader home internet / ISP problem.
| Test Result | What It Suggests |
|---|---|
| Ethernet works, Wi-Fi does not | Investigate Wi-Fi signal, router wireless settings or interference. |
| Both Ethernet and Wi-Fi fail | The issue may be broader than Wi-Fi alone. |
Step 10 — Check Whether the Problem Affects More Than One Device
Test Alakh IPTV on another compatible device connected to the same home Wi-Fi.
Firestick on Wi-Fi → Does not work
Phone on same Wi-Fi → Does not work
This points more strongly toward a network issue.
Firestick on Wi-Fi → Does not work
Phone on same Wi-Fi → Works normally
This suggests the Firestick, its player or its local network configuration may be involved.
Step 11 — Test a VPN
This Is One Situation Where a VPN Test Can Be Useful
A VPN is not always required for Alakh IPTV.
However, if:
- Alakh IPTV works on mobile data or a hotspot,
- the same account does not work on your home internet,
- your login details are correct, and
- your subscription is active,
then testing a reputable VPN while connected to your home internet can be a useful diagnostic step.
If IPTV starts working through the VPN, that indicates the network path has changed in a way that affects access. This can be consistent with an ISP routing or filtering issue.
What Does the VPN Test Tell You?
| Result | What It May Suggest |
|---|---|
| IPTV works with VPN | ISP routing/filtering or the normal network path may be contributing. |
| IPTV still does not work with VPN | Continue checking router, device and player configuration. |
| IPTV works but becomes very slow with VPN | The VPN route/server may be reducing performance. |
Using a Samsung or LG Smart TV?
Many Smart TVs do not support standard VPN applications directly.
If you need to perform a VPN test, you may instead be able to test using:
- A compatible Fire TV device
- Android TV / Google TV device
- Windows or Mac computer
- Android phone or tablet
- A VPN-capable router
The goal is to determine whether changing the network path changes the IPTV result.
Using an ISP-Provided Router?
Some internet providers include additional security, parental-control or filtering features with their routers or accounts.
Check your ISP account or router administration page for optional security features that may affect streaming traffic.
IPTV Used to Work on Wi-Fi but Suddenly Stopped
If Alakh IPTV previously worked on the same home network:
- Restart the IPTV player.
- Restart the streaming device.
- Restart the router.
- Confirm your subscription is active.
- Test another IPTV player.
- Test mobile hotspot again.
- Check router/ISP security settings.
- Test a VPN if the service still works on another network.
Quick Network Problem Finder
| Situation | Next Test |
|---|---|
| IPTV works on hotspot, not Wi-Fi | Restart router and test network settings. |
| Ethernet works, Wi-Fi does not | Investigate the wireless network. |
| All devices fail on home network | Investigate router / ISP path. |
| Only one device fails | Check device/player configuration. |
| VPN fixes the issue | Network route/filtering may be involved. |
What Not to Do
- Do not change your IPTV password just because one network fails.
- Do not repeatedly reinstall the player before testing the network.
- Do not permanently disable router security without understanding the setting.
- Do not assume that a VPN is always required.
- Do not change many router settings at the same time.
- Do not publicly share your IPTV credentials while requesting network help.
